PRODUCT LINE DETAIL:
We offer three categories of product:
Natural – The only oils in this soap will be the oils necessary to make it! No extra scents or colorants? These are for you!
Essential Oil – Essential Oils are 100% natural, plant extracted scents. Often used in aromatherapy, these also work great in soaps & lotions. If you want a little scent, but no synthetic chemicals, this would be your category!
Fragrance Oils – Fragrance oils are synthetic oils which come in a variety of scents from ginger-lime to lemon poppy-seed cake! These scents are often considered better for those with sensitive skin, who still want a scent to their product, which is why GBS offers this category. Plus, with these you can make some pretty fantastic off the wall soap scents!
PRODUCT WEIGHT & CUT:
Weight
Soaps: Because our bars are hand cut, they are not all the same weight. The bars range between approximately 4-6 ounces each at wet weight. The difference in these weights is incredibly minimal and is often as little as a slice as thin as paper. Once in a while you might get a bar topping out at almost 7 ounces! (Lucky You!) You won’t ever receive a bar under 4 ounces though.
Lotions: Solid lotion bars are made in a process which allows them to be relatively uniform in size and weight. All bars will be approximately 1 to 1.5oz.
Cut
Soaps: Due to the handcut nature of our soap, bars range from rectangle to almost square. Please be assured all are well within the specified weight range above; we are very careful to make sure we meet our internally set quality control to give you every bit of the soap you purchase.
Lotions: Our solid lotion bars are made in a process which allows them to be relatively uniform in size and weight. At this time, all bars are round in shape.

PRODUCT CARE:
Soaps are dependent on oil content, some are harder, some are softer, and all are water soluble. In order to make your soap last, make sure to keep it well drained and out of the stream of water when not in use. A hard bar of soap, well taken care of and used for showering daily, should last a single person about 3-4 weeks. A bar used for hand washing only by one person, should last longer.
Lotions are made with oils which melt at body temperature. This means the product should be kept in a cool spot when not in use, ideally below body temperature. Keep your lotion in the tin it came in when not in use. If your product gets too hot and melts, place in the fridge or freezer for a short amount of time to set back up. Product will loose shape if melted, but is still perfectly usable.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY AND LEAD TIME:
Availability
Soaps are available year round. Lotion bars are only available during cooler weather, as materials allow. Let us know if there is anything you’d like to see. Your voices can make a change at GBS!
Lead Time
Soaps: At Green Barn Soaps we produce our products using the Cold Process method. This process allows us greater control over the finalized product, however it also means we have to cure the soaps for an extensive period of time before they are ready to sell. Please note these soaps take 4-8 weeks to cure depending on the base oils and recipe. A soap containing harder oils will be done faster, and a bar containing more liquid oils will take longer.
Lotions: There is no lead time in lotions. These will only be unavailable if we are back ordered on the packaging or raw materials.

PRODUCT PACKAGING:
Packaging will vary in accordance with supplies. The soap you see online may not be the exact bar you receive. If you order a gift box and card, they will be within the same color theme of the soap wrapping.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES:
Our products do not show much wear after a single use. Unfortunately, once re-dried it can look as if the product has not been used. Due to the nature of the product, we cannot accept returns and exchanges unless we mail you the incorrect product as shown on the order form. If you do not see the scent you are interested in, please contact us at info at greenbarnsoaps dot com.

SHIPPING
All orders are packed by hand. Most orders will ship USPS in 3-5 business days after the order is placed. Purchase of shipping insurance must be specifically requested. Allow two weeks for delivery of domestic orders. Orders are shipped to the address you give us. Green Barn Soaps is not responsible for delays caused by the USPS, or replacement of lost orders submitted with incorrect or incomplete delivery information.
Shipping choices are given at checkout to give you, the consumer, some control over shipping costs. For this reason we offer USPS priority mail and USPS Priority Flat Rate mailing. Our shipping is calculated directly through the USPS, and unfortunately is not perfect at calculating. We will not ask for extra cost if the you choose regular priority shipping, and it does not cover the actual shipping. If you choose flat rate mailing, and your order cannot fit in the box, we will message you and ask for the remainder to be paid for the next cheapest method (whether priority, or flat-rate). Orders will not be mailed until the remainder of any shipping costs are paid.

HOT WEATHER WARNING:
Hot weather can effect how a soap, and especially lotion, ships. In hot months, or to hot climates, our products cannot be guaranteed to arrive appropriately due to the nature of the ingredients involved. Our products are made primarily of oils, and much like all oils, they have a melting point. If you live in an extremely hot climate and are concerned about this please contact me BEFORE ordering and we can discuss shipping options not offered here – to decrease the chance of melting. Lotions are mailed in tins to help contain product if it melts. If your product arrives soft, please place it in a cold place to solidify. If your lotion tins feel hot to the touch when received DO NOT open them, but immediately place in a cool spot to re solidify.
Green Barn Soaps is not responsible for melted or distorted product.
OTHER
Green Barn Soaps is not liable for adverse reactions to product when ingredients are labeled online, or in any other medium. If you are sensitive or allergic to any base oils or scents listed, please do not use that particular product. Some essential oils should be avoided by people with certain conditions, such as sensitive skin or pregnancy; these warnings will be clearly labeled on product descriptions.
